About the Course
Building upon their existing Instructional skills, Teaching Experience Supervisor candidates will develop the skills required to support Red Cross First Aid Instructor/Youth Leader candidates completing their Teaching Experience across all disciplines.
Teach Experience Supervisor Pathway:
Step 1: Evaluate Skills and Check Prerequisits:
Step one consists of confirming prerequisites are met: you must be a certified Instructor or Youth Leader and complete a skills evaluation
Step 2: Fundamentals of Instruction:
Step 2 consists of an online component (2-4 hrs*)
Step 3: Certification
Once you have completed step one and two, you are a certified Teach Experience Supervisor. This certificate remains current as long as your instructor certification is current.
Pre-requisite:
Hold a current Canadian Red Cross Instructor at the Discipline you're intended to become a Teach Experience Supervisor. First Aid/CPR Instructor, BLS Instructor, First Responder Instructor, AFA/EMR Instructor.
Certification:
Valid as long as a CRC Instructor certification is current.
After You Become a Certified Instructor
Becoming certified is only the first step. To teach Canadian Red Cross programs, you must either:

Become a Red Cross Training Partner, or

Teach under an existing Training Partner such as AHASTI
Instructor certification alone does not permit independent course delivery.
