
About the Course:
Childcare First Aid with CPR-B focuses on the recognition and care of infant and child emergencies, illness, and injuries. This course meets the training needs of early childhood educators, childcare staff, and others who work with young children in Alberta.

Prerequisites:
Full Course none
Recertification: Proof of current Standard Childcare First Aid certification by a CRC-recognized national training agency required. The CRC-recognized national training agencies include the Canadian Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (CPR only), Lifesaving Society, and the Canadian Ski Patrol.

Course Completion Criteria:
• Demonstrate a working competency of all required skills.
• Achieve a minimum score of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation
completed independently. Exam is only available in English.
• Attend and actively participate in 100% of the course.
• Must adhere to the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross
