
About the Course:
Advanced First Aid is an 80-hour, in-depth program for workers and responders in higher-risk environments who may need to provide extended care until EMS arrives. The course covers advanced assessment, trauma and medical emergencies, multiple-casualty incidents, and oxygen and airway management, and meets Alberta OHS requirements.
This course aligns with the CSA Standard Z1210-17 for Workplace First Aid Training.
Prerequisites:
Full Course: none
Recertification: Proof of current Advanced First Aid certification with BLS (or in accordance with local legislation) required

Course Completion Criteria:
Successfully demonstrate the required skills
Minimum 75% mark for written, closed book, knowledge evaluation
Successfully complete two evaluated scenarios (one each of medical and trauma)
Attend and participate in 100% of the course
