This class is for Youth 15 - 18 years old only
Couse Content:
Get certified with AHASTI’s Basic or Emergency First Aid course in Calgary and Red Deer. Covers life-saving skills, CPR Level C, and AED use—ideal for workplace and community responders. Full and recertification options to meet Alberta OHS requirements available.

The Red Cross
Preparing to respond
The EMS system
Check, Call, Care
Airway emergencies
Breathing and Circulation emergencies
First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
Wound care
Includes opioid poisoning awareness information
Course Completion Criteria:
Successfully demonstrate skills and critical steps
Min. 75% mark for written knowledge evaluation (available in French or English only)
Attend and participate in 100% of the course
What to Bring:
If each participant could bring a stuffed animal or baby doll large enough to practice dressing and diapering.
Individual snacks and a bag lunch. (please, no nut products)
