About the Course
This recertification is for current Red Cross Professional Responder Instructors teaching BLS, O2, Airway Management, First Responder, Advanced First Aid, or EMR.
As of 2024, Red Cross Instructors now recertify each discipline individually before individual certification expiry dates.
Prerequisites:
Have a current Red Cross BLS, First Responder, Advanced First Aid or EMR Instructor certification.
Have taught a minimum of three Canadian Red Cross First Aid Program courses
during the three-year certification period.
One course must have been taught in each discipline the Instructor is seeking recertification (course taught must be at the highest level of certification within each discipline; recertification and blended courses also qualify).
Local legislators may set additional requirements. Please check the legislation in your area for further requirements.
Certification:
Certifications are valid for 3 years from the certification date identified on the discipline-specific course certificate.
