Intermediate First Aid was formerly called Standard First Aid. The course designed remains for individuals who are required by their jobs or looking to improve their emergency response skills at home, this comprehensive two-day course by the Canadian Red Cross offers training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR Level C/AED). The program adheres to the standards established by provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and integrates the latest protocols for first aid and CPR. You have the option to take the course in Calgary or Red Deer, or request our Mobile Training Unit to deliver the training at your chosen venue.
This course aligns with the CSA Standard Z1210-17 for Workplace First Aid Training.
Prerequisites:
Full: Recommended 14 yrs +
Recert: Current Intermediate or Standard First Aid with CPR Level C/AED from a Canadian Workplace provider or a current BC OFA2.

Bone, muscle and joint injuries

Course Completion Criteria:
100% attendance and participation
75% min. passing grade on a written, closed book knowledge evaluation
